This customer has a beautiful multistory house. Originally we were contacted to find a leak our customer was able to hear when he turned on his hose bib. We were able to diagnose that that the hose bib had frozen and broken in the wall. This happens all of the time when seasons change from cold to hot. We cut a small hole and put in an access panel so the customers hose bib can be easily serviced if necessary in the future. We then installed a new hose bib and discarded the broken/frozen one.
This customer also want to install a hose bib on a deck level so they can water their plants on the deck and fill their hot tub that they are also going to place on the deck. We tapped into the Master bath cold water line and ran it through the counter to outdoors. We installed Woodford frost free hose bibs for each, we advised the customer that they should disconnect any water supplies and make sure the water is turned off before the first freeze to avoid the same happening again. Along with our trusted brand, frost free hose bib this customer should be able to enjoy his hose bibs from the deck and down below without any more freeze problems.
