Our customer is moving and per her inspection / selling agreement she needed to replace her hot water heater. Our plumbing pros went in drained disposed and installed a brand new water heater. We also added an expansion tank which was not previously provided by whomever installed her original water heater. An expansion tank is standard practice for the installation of a water heater. Explained by Google "The expansion tank is designed to handle the thermal expansion of water as it heats up in the water heater, preventing excessive water pressure. If water pressure gets to high it can damage valves in plumbing fixtures, joints in supply pipes and the water heater itself." - Google Search Findings
